Three years ago, the Bartow Police Department re-implemented the Citizen’s Police Academy. This was made possible thanks to the generous donations of the American Legion Post #3 here in Bartow. For three consecutive years, the Bartow Police Department has been able to host this educational and informative program.

Most people do not have the opportunity to see the work that goes into providing police services. The Citizen’s Police Academy is designed so that the Bartow Police Department can interact with residents and business owners to demonstrate what we do on a continuing basis for our city.
