Officials with the Polk County Sheriff’s office are hopeful that arrests from an undercover drug investigation in Fort Meade will bring with it the added benefit of fewer crimes locally.

In all, 20 arrests were made Friday, culminating the effort spearheaded by the PCSO’s Tactical Drug Unit. Another three suspects for whom warrants were issued remained at large as of Tuesday. A fourth suspect that also had a warrant out on his charges was not arrested Friday, but was found later over the weekend.
