Gerald R. “Jake” Bryan, 71, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Bartow Regional Medical Center of heart failure.

Born Sept. 13, 1941, in Bowling Green , Fla.,

Mr. Bryan was a resident of Bartow for 66 years, moving from Bowling Green.

He was a member of the Lake Ruth Baptist Church.

Mr. Bryan was preceeded in death by his mother, Ann Frymire; brothers, Martin Bryan and John Frymire.

He is survived by two nieces; Karen Kendrick (Ronnie) of Bartow and Tina Mcguire (Todd) of Highland City, Fla.; two nephews, Tim Bryan (Laurie) of Bartow and John Bryan (Dorcus) of Bartow.

Family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
