Ellen B. Austin, 94, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Savannah Court Assisted Living Facility in Bartow.

Born Oct. 26, 1918, in Parrish , Fla., Mrs. Austin was a longtime resident of Bartow.

She was a secretary for the Polk County area schools for 43 years, serving for many years at Mulberry High School. She was a member of the Bartow Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew F. Austin and brother, Charles R. Beatty.

Mrs. Austin is survived by three sons, Gene W. Austin and wife Jeannie; Jerry Austin and wife, Bernie, all of Bartow, Patrick Austin and wife, Lynn of Lakeland, daughter, Judy Elliotte and husband, Ray of Bartow; niece, Donna Gallup of Alexander, Va.; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Sunday,
Nov. 18, 2012, 4-6 p.m. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow.

Graveside interment services will be Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.

Funeral services will follow at
10 a.m. at the Bartow Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 205 E. Stanford St., Bartow.
