With all the kids in school, now is the perfect time to help your children with their reading skills. At 10:30 a.m. today, come see Shelby, a Great Dane, of Therapy Dogs, International. Read aloud to her and receive a free book. Shelby will be in the Children’s Department the third Saturday of every month.

Your library is getting a new computer system. For three days, beginning Monday, Sept. 23, we will only have limited access to checking out items for our patrons. You MUST have your library card to be able to check out. We will not be able to do catalog searching, requests/holds or renewals. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you bear with us while we go through this change. For those patrons just using our public access computers, papers, or WiFi, we will still be functional. Our new system will be up and running Sept. 26.

Celebrate your favorite superhero with games and refreshments and have your photo taken in the world’s largest pair of underpants. For Capt. Underpants fans ages 7-10 years old. Please preregister at the circulation desk or call the library to sign up. The program with be Tuesday from 4-5 p.m.

Fall story times are back and better than ever. Those who are 3-5 years old meet on Wednesdays in September at 10 a.m. and feature stories, finger plays, music and films. Those 18 months-2 years meet Thursdays in September at 10 a.m. and feature nursery rhymes, finger plays, music and bubbles.

Crochet Club will be back at 10 a.m. Friday. If you are interested in learning to crochet or already know but just want company while doing it, join us for one of our newest programs.
