Bartow teen earns rank of Eagle Scout

Bartow High School sophomore Corey A. Trudeau earned the highest award in the Boy Scouts of America: Eagle Scout. Corey is a member of Boy Scout Troop 104 in Lakeland and passed a rigorous Board of Review process in November and will be officially awarded the rank of Eagle Scout during a local ceremony on March 23.

Corey, 15, advanced through all the ranks of Scouting, first as a member of Boy Scout Troop 147 in Bartow and then as part of Troop 104. Along the way, he served stints as senior patrol leader and assistant senior patrol leader. Corey is also a member of his high school wrestling team and a parishioner at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Bartow.
