Lynn A Schmidt of Lynco Financial & Tax Services, Inc. of Winter Haven attended the Serving a Maturing Nation Conference in Las Vegas.
It was hosted by the National Center for Professional Education.
Tax professionals from around the country were updated on the current rules and regulations of Social Security and the impact it has on our maturing population. Schmidt participated in sessions covering Retirement Realities and issues and concerns that pending retirees face, Understanding Medicare Parts A, B, C and D, Understanding Medicaid Coverage, topics also covered Medigap and Long-Term Care Alternatives.
The primary learning objective of increasing the competency of tax professionals through expert discussion, explanation and interactive questioning was also met by advanced topics covering Estate Planning – Advanced Concepts, Estate Tax Preparation and also included topics regarding Personal Representative Duties and Responsibilities, the Complexities of the Final Return for a Deceased Taxpayer, in depth review of various Trusts and the related tax issues and opportunities for planning.
Schmidt has owned Lynco Financial & Tax Services Inc, since 1980. Her office is located in Winter Haven.She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in Accounting and has earned such designations as Enrolled Agent, Certified Tax Coach, Fellow – National Tax Practice Institute, Certified Fund Specialist, Certified Senior Advisor, and Accredited Retirement Advisor.
As an enrolled agent and a Certified Tax Coach, Schmidt believes in taking a proactive approach with clients by performing a comprehensive and expert analysis of their tax situation and utilizing the current tax code to uncover opportunities which could potentially empower them to have a positive impact on future tax outcomes. In depth planning is not something that can be done “after-the-fact” during tax season; that is to say – simply reviewing history. Lynn’s goal is to help taxpayers “write their own history.”
