Bartow City Commissioners are unanimous in getting behind an effort to get Ken Riley into the Pro Football Hall of Fame following discussion during its Jan. 22 work session.

Riley, born and raised in Bartow, was a cornerback with the Cincinnati Bengals for 15 seasons, and dominated his position during his career. However, in retirement, he was bypassed during his active eligibility in the modern era category, and thus far has not garnered sufficient support from the Hall of Fame’s Senior Selection Committee, where his eligibility has resided the past several years.
