Residents of Polk County joined together to provide a special holiday celebration for local children and families at the 2012 Healthy Families Polk holiday dinner.

Nearly 300 volunteers contributed approximately $25,000 of service, which represents more than 1,000 hours. The event also received in-kind material contributions of $3,100 and $400 in cash. The overall contributions totaled more than $28,000.
