Palmetto Dunes is a resort and residential community located at the center of the island, across from the shops, dining and entertainment of Shelter Cove Harbour and Shelter Cove Plaza, as well as the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. Palmetto Dunes encompasses 1,800 acres with three miles of shoreline, an 11-mile lagoon system -tied to the ocean via tidal gates- on which you can paddle, and protected bike paths which lead safely and conveniently to the Shelter Cove area. Two oceanfront hotels - the Marriott Beach and Golf Resort and The Hilton Resort - as well as a wide variety of beautiful rental homes, townhomes and villas to suit all budgets and vacation requirements can be found in Palmetto Dunes plantation. The community features top notch amenities, including the twenty-five court Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center, three award-winning championship golf courses designed by George Fazio, Robert Trent Jones and Arthur Hills, and a free, on-demand seasonal beach and shopping shuttle. Minimum age required at check-in is 22. Check-in for accommodations at The Village at Palmetto Dunes is at 10 Trent Jones Avenue in Palmetto Dunes. Phone number for the Front Desk is 843-842-6556 ext. 11100. Saturday check-ins are from 5 - 8 pm. Check out is at 10 AM. Office is open from 2 - 8 pm at 20 Executive Park Road or until 7 p.m. at 10 Trent Jones Lane for The Village check-in. A valid credit card and ID will be required at check-in. Minimum age 22 years of age unless accompanied by an adult. After hours lock boxes are located on the Executive Park Road side of the building at 20 Executive Park Road or to the left of the door at The Village on-site office. Please call Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm to obtain night box code.
